Proud to support Open Bethlehem

Travel2Palestine are delighted to be working in association with Leila Sansour to promote her new film, Open Bethlehem.

Shot over five years the film captures the city of Bethlehem as it has never been seen before. This is an emotional journey of one woman’s fight for her hometown.

One of the most remarkable and moving documentaries I have seen, about this unreported story. The tragedy of the Palestinians encapsulated in the life of one family and one town- Bethlehem. See the film, then go to Bethlehem and see for yourself.” Jon Snow

If you are involved in politics in the UK, and are inspired to visit Bethlehem by this film then travel with us!

Equally, if you would like your MP, MEP, councillor or candidate to travel to Palestine then you can sponsor them to visit with us.

Travel2Palestine is a not-for-profit company that focuses on cost-price political fact-finding visits to Jerusalem and the West Bank. We take you to Palestine to see for yourself. Experience the occupation, the wall, checkpoints, settlements, refugee camps. Talk to politicians, mayors, activists. Visit Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem, always accompanied by British organisers and Palestinian or Israeli guides. We’ve taken 160 people, including MPs, MEPs, councillors, trade unionists and political researchers. We are open to people from all political parties who want to understand the Israel-Palestine issue.

99% of those who have visited with us say that are extremely or very likely to recommend our visits to others

Read some of the comments from our latest visit:

I shall never forget the street in Hebron cleared of Palestinians nor the courage of the resistance in Bi’lin. Thank you for making this possible

The best was meeting some extremely impressive and articulate people, e.g. the member of the Knesset, the mayor of Bethlehem, the ICAHD spokeswoman. I also thought it was great that we were exposed to Israelis who were on-side so it never became the goodies versus the baddies.  And the other “best” was the welcome we received everywhere we went within Palestine, the chance to see beautiful ancient cities, the Palestinian hospitality and the delicious food.”

It was a fantastic visit -and has inspired me to even greater efforts to raise awareness of and opposition to Israeli apartheid. I will be encouraging others to come.
